May I ask you a Question?
Do you know for sure that you would go to heaven?
- 1. God says, all
men are sinners.
-
- The Bible records that Adam and Eve, the first
humans, sinned by disobeying God. They passed on a sin nature to
all mankind. The Bible also says that God is righteous and holy, and that
among men "there is none righteous, no not
one." Rom 3:10
Isaiah pictures it... "All
we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way."
Isaiah 53:6
-
- 2. God
says, the wages of sin is death.
-
- "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of
God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Rom
6:23
Yes, the punishment for our sin is death. Death, according to God's Word
is being in Hell forever, separated from God.
- 3. But, God says,
there is hope.
"God
is longsuffering, not willing that any should perish, but that all should
come to repentance." 2Pe 3:9
This is amazing! When we realize just how wretched we are in God's eyes,
it is still not too late for us to repent! He patiently waits for each of
us to recognize our sin problem and turn to Him. He wants us to be saved!
- 4. God says,
there is a solution.
"And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first
begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him
that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,"
Revelation 1:5
Just imagine! In the person of Jesus Christ, God shed His own blood for
us on the cross. He took our punishment upon Himself. We deserved to be
crucified for being sinners, not Him! Yet, He paid our debt of sin by
dying for us.
- 5. God
invites you to be saved.
"Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest." Matthew 11:28
"And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say,
Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take
the water of life freely." Revelation 22:17
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of
God, even to them that believe on his name." John 1:12
So friend, you need to:
1. Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross as a substitute for
your sin debt.
2. Call upon Him in prayer, asking Him to show mercy on you and
forgive you for your sins.
-
- The sinner's prayer:
-
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I
am convinced that without your grace and mercy I
will have to pay my own sin debt, which will send me
to hell for eternity. However, I believe that you
died on the Cross to pay the debt of sin that I owe.
So, I am asking for your mercy upon me. I believe
that you desire me to come to you and trust you as
my Saviour. So, please, forgive me and save me.
Amen!"
The Bible says: "Whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
Please, send us an Email if you
have prayed this prayer
and trusted Christ as your Saviour. What you have just
done will surely take you to heaven and much more.
