The Light Is Shining

Dear Prayer Partners : 

    God is continuing to use Christ For Africa Mission, "To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." Luke 1:79.

    Yes! The light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ continues to go forward, reaching more and more people in Southern Africa.

Graduation

    Dec. 1, 2007, 11 male students graduated with a Diploma in Divinity from Bible College, after 3 years of intensive study (2 Timothy 2:15), praying and street-witnessing during this time.

    5 Young ladies graduated with a Christian Workers Diploma after 2 years at Bible College.

   During 2007, Anita and I, with your help, our faithful prayer partners, have supported these students @$30.00 which is (R210.00 African Rand) per month. This includes boarding and tuition fees.

    Both male and female students are expected to take care of "Chores" in between classes, study and free time. The men work outdoors on the property, maintain the yard work, upkeep of the buildings, dormitories, chapel, classrooms, office, etc; The ladies work in the Kitchen, cooking and washing dishes; Dining hall, setting and clearing the tables; Laundry, taking care of washing and ironing linens and clothing. This not only helps them get through Bible College, but it also helps to keep the expenses of the College low and to operate efficiently.

Harvest Kit:

With your help, when they graduate, we give every one a Harvest Kit, which includes a Bible, Bicycle, clothing, lantern, bedroll, etc., with tracts and then we support them financially for 1 year, with $50.00 per month from January to December 2008, assisting them to get established in their field of ministry.

 These young pastors and the young ladies (Christian Workers) are called and committed to "Win the lost to Christ" to evangelize, knocking doors in their villages and surrounding areas, talking to 3-4 people a day about Jesus, establish salvation, and lead them to Baptism and Church membership.

Africa in many ways is on the cutting edge of a Great Spiritual Awakening Revival. Many reports are coming back that God is working - 9 new Mission churches have been established, regular Sunday services are being held with many saved, being baptized and serving the Lord. The devil is working overtime, disease is rampant, HIV Aids is killing thousands, crime is at an all time high - car jacking, senseless murders and the list goes on and on.

2 Tim. 4:1-2, 5 "I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry."

The Mission field is in their backyard-from neighborhood to squatter camps within a stone's throw right next to the Highways...Pray for Africa -- They need Jesus!

   Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

Pastor's Christmas Offering:

To those who responded to bless our Indigenous Pastors and their families with an extra $100.00 gift at Christmas. Thank you, Happy Holidays, & May the Peace of God rest upon you and yours at this time.

There's no better present at CHRISTMAS than knowing why CHRIST came to earth.          There's no sweeter song than the one angels sang         when they told of His WONDERFUL BIRTH. There's no greater balm for the SPIRIT         than the PEACE JESUS sends from above... And nothing more LOVELY to decorate hearts than the BEAUTIFUL LIGHT of His LOVE.
